I'm sorry to hear you've been...Hi Abigail,

I'm sorry to hear you've been ill - I've been really enjoying your blog. The whole project is a great idea and makes for very interesting reading, especially the development of the X-Men concept as a social metaphor (I also thought your post on Burchill/Moore was spot-on by the way - I'm going to have to go back and read some of that Stan Lee stuff now!).

I've just got past the Mutant Massacre posts but skipped ahead to this as I finally saw the film this week.

I've been re-reading a lot of this myself - mostly just the Claremont stuff, but I've enjoyed Louise Simonson's issues (and her efforts to "fix" X-Factor) so far too and am looking forward to her taking over another book as we head towards "Fall of the Mutants" (I actually remember the promotional posters for this from my first ever visit to a "comic shop", although I didn't discover the X-Men myself until around the time of Inferno, and lost interest again when Claremont left...).

Will try to leave a few comments from now on...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5396083279099612355.post-62185467820141630272013-07-27T18:53:21.528+01:002013-07-27T18:53:21.528+01:00I'm sorry to hear about your illness - hope yo...I'm sorry to hear about your illness - hope you're feeling better!

Austin Gortonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14281239771248780430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5396083279099612355.post-75902330115317061422013-07-26T19:59:17.000+01:002013-07-26T19:59:17.000+01:00I got quite ill earlier in the year. I let the posts I'd written play out, but I've not dared to resume this project, as I've been trying to de-stress...

Having said that, I don't see why I shouldn't aim for an occasional post. My only quibble was with how that revelation fit with the insinuation from the first film that the Mandarin was involved with the terrorists who kidnapped Tony, but it's easy enough to assume that may have been Killian as well.
